Last week, I decided to challenge myself to post at least twice on my TikTok account for the next 2 weeks. My TikTok account is like an extension of this blog. While my content pillars (lifestyle, wellness, and beauty) remain the same on all my social media accounts, I upload mostly photo and video content on TikTok as opposed to the written content I put on this website.
Here is a link to a recent TikTok I made on some things that made me happy this past month. Some of the photos in the video include my favourite skincare/makeup products as well as some fun activities I was able to get up to!
Hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Wanted to share some ways you can take care of your well-being this month as we start up February!
Wellness is something that’s important to me because I admit that I can be a bit of a workaholic. I realized how much chronic stress affects my body and mental health negatively and I plan to make this year the year I don’t put my own wellness on the back burner.
Hope these tips inspire and help you to take care of yourself this upcoming month!
I’m convinced that candles are the perfect home accessory. They’re just one of those staple pieces that can really turn your house into a home and elevate the environment of any room. Though I don’t currently have a place to call my own, (Hello, inflation in Vancouver…) I pretty much always have a candle burning as I work and study in my room.
I gravitate towards candles that are made from non-toxic ingredients. I love that Mala The Brand uses “natural coconut and soy wax, wood wicks (for maximum cozy feels), lead-free cotton wicks and the highest quality blend of phthalate-free fragrance and essential oil,” as stated on their website.
Obsessed with pink and beige tones and vanilla scented anything, their Milk & Sugar candle caught my eye. After my boss told me that this was also her personal favourite candle, I felt that I had only more reason to ensure that I had one of my own.
I feel so grateful to have had this candle gifted to me by my boyfriend this year for Christmas. Halfway through the candle after burning it consistently, I feel ready to share my honest thoughts…
This is probably the best candle I’ve owned! From its neutral aesthetics, the soothing cackling that emits from its wood wick, and its dreamy vanilla and sweet cinnamon scent, I feel like my room always smells like cookies straight from the oven – and who would complain about that?
I’d rate this candle a solid 5/5 and would encourage you to support this Vancouver, female-owned candle business. On top of the incredibly quality of their candles, Mala The Brand also plants a tree with every purchase. I can’t wait to try out more amazing scents and candles from them!

When I first started getting into the “hype” of skincare and make-up products in my first year of university, I remember I’d spend 45 minutes to an hour in front of my bedroom mirror to end up with a face full of make-up before going to class or work.
I loved watching YouTube videos in my free time that would show me the latest trending products I should use for clear skin and fell victim for smoky eyeshadow looks and matte lipstick.
While I’ve scaled back a lot on the time I spend prepping and pampering my face every morning and don’t watch beauty/skincare videos as much as I did as a college freshman, the time I spend in the morning to do my skin and make-up is a little pocket of joy I always look forward to in my everyday routine.
I thought I’d kick-off my first post with a round-up of skincare products I’ve been loving lately. Most of these products are from local, female and Canadian owned businesses and only use clean and natural ingredients.
So, let’s dive right into it…
That’s a wrap on Part 1 of my Skincare Favourites! Will be back with Part 2 shortly!
